An Audience with...Steve Stone and Chris Waddle

When: Tuesday 26th February

Where: The Approach, Friar Lane

What Time: Doors 7pm

After Stan the man raised the roof at The Approach their series of "audience with" nights continues with two legends of the modern game Chris Waddle and Steve Stone on Tuesday 26th February.

Chris Waddle is one of the most iconic figures of recent years, silky skills, great pace, two world cups including Italia 90 with England, PFA player of the year, three titles with Marseille, shocking mullet hair, bad suits, "diamond lights" with Glen Hoddle and of course that penalty miss (let’s remember, he wasn’t the only one).

Chris is now a Sun columnist and 5 live pundit, he has that rare gift amongst modern football commentators called "a personality" which means he is guaranteed to prove great entertainment on the night. He’s played for Newcastle, Tottenham, Marseille, Sheffield Wednesday, Bradford (that goal), Falkirk and finally retired aged thirty-eight at Torquay, a true football man.

All that and we never even mentioned The Fast Show

Stevie Stone, Stevie Stone, Stevie, Stevie Stone…..A legend at Forest not just for the world class wing play but for simple refusing to give in despite three broken legs and another serious injury hampering his career. Stone played under Brian Clough, Frank Clark and Harry Bassett not to mention 9 England caps and 2 goals under Venables, a number that would surely have been greater had it not been for injuries. Steve Stone is a firm fan’s favourite, has already proved a big hit at "an audience with" and is sure to score with the crowd again.
