THEY’RE BACK!

AND THEY’RE BAD TO THE (FLOATING) BONE…

West Bridgford’s beloved Dr. Comfort and the Lurid Revelations announce their first UK date of 2009. The six-piece are slated to play Nottingham’s Southbank Bar on Sunday April 5.

After a well-deserved six months break; the band feeling the pinch after extensive touring in 2008; at one stage playing an unprecedented two gigs in 13 days. Tiredness, indiscriminate bowel movements, plus the usual excesses of the road were bound to take their toll.

A spokesperson said, “Well, what with ‘his lordship’ bowling all and sundry out in the Caribbean and the overkill of last year we thought we were goosed for a bit. But luckily, the singer’s elbow is tayter’d and the guitar player’s Deal, or No Deal habit is once again manageable. So we’re back at it.”

Rehearsing via satellite link all winter, Nottinghamshire’s finest rock ensemble since KWS hit big in the 90s, can confirm a new show, a new set – including some all-new original material - and by all accounts, marginally less on-stage swearing.  

As they say, get there early to avoid disappointment.
