To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Nottingham Forest winning the European Cup, Southbank Bar Trent Bridge have released a special menu, celebrating legends of the club.
The victory took place on May 30th 1979, with Nottingham Forest beating Malmo FF 1-0 in a game which was the pinnacle of Forest’s remarkable journey through the early stages which included beating two-time defending champions, Liverpool FC to secure their spot in the final.
Just two seasons earlier, Forest had been in the second division and the legend that was (Sir) Brian Clough would take them on this amazing journey to win the European Cup the following year too.
To celebrate this remarkable journey and many of the players who were a part of it, The Southbank Bar on Trent Bridge have released a special menu for the 40th anniversary of the win which would secure the club and Brian Clough’s place in football history.
The menu features handmade burgers and freshly stone-baked pizzas with toppings such as The Munich ’79, The Clough and Taylor as well as The O’Neill and Keane.
It is available every day for the next few months but won’t be around forever so head on down to avoid disappointment.
